Marge L. Torok

What if you could ensure your support for children could last forever? That's exactly what a beautiful friend of chidren did for her Downriver Family YMCA. Marge Torok died on March 2nd at the wonderful age 89 peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Over the years, Marge was always among the first contributors to the YMCA's Strong Kids Campaign – making sure all our children had the opportunity to learn from great YMCA programs – especially summer day camp.

Each year, Marge also contributed to the "Marge Torok Fund for Children" with the YMCA endowment. Today, Marge's accumulated gifts over the years will now ensure that her annual Strong Kids Campaign contribution will continue forever and forever from the proceeds of her fund. As Marge entered her last days, she had one final request of her daughter. "If I must go, I want a sip of champagne." And so it was. Marge and her family toasted a wonderful, beautiful and generous life as Marge passed to her great reward. Shall we all toast beautiful Marge?
